And who am I?

About Me and My Work

Hi! I’m Jacqueline, a biologist with a deep passion for science communication and scientific illustrations. My academic background spans geology, limnology, and ecotoxicology, and I’ve joined different conservation projects focused on various topics including marine biology, coral reefs, and elephants, also serving as an environmental educator along the way.

Currently, I’m pursuing my PhD in the ecotoxicology of freshwater ecosystems—so you’ll often spot a tiny aquatic worm sneaking into my illustrations!

I’ve had the opportunity to create graphics, posters, and diagrams across a variety of biological subjects, from sketching the widely studied Daphnia magna to breaking down complex biological interactions within coral reefs. I believe that science should be made as simple and accessible as possible, which is why I use handmade drawings and easy-to-follow diagrams to help communicate key concepts.

My designed posters have already won the Mirpuri Ocean Award 2023 and the SETAC France Poster Award 2023.
